Forklift training FAQs

Can employees become fully qualified through online training alone?

Online learning can provide the formal-instruction portion of training, but OSHA also requires practical training and an evaluation of operator performance. Employer authorization and workplace-specific requirements still apply.

Where is forklift training conducted?

Training is conducted on-site at your facility, using your company's equipment, so instruction and evaluation can address your work environment and the equipment employees operate.

Is training available in Spanish?

Yes. We offer instruction in English and Spanish.

When will employees receive their wallet cards and certificates?

Wallet cards and certificates are provided the same day for participants who successfully complete the applicable training and evaluation.

Does the employer still have responsibilities after training?

Yes. The employer must ensure that operators receive training and evaluation appropriate to their workplace and truck types, maintain required certification records, authorize safe operation, and provide refresher training when required.
